Environmental testing

Environmental testing is often required for consent monitoring, identification of trends, problem solving, substance disposal and discharge consent.  IPL has developed a range of testing to suit your needs.

We provide analysis on:
• Process and production water analysis
• Boiler water
• Discharge water for regulatory consent monitoring
• Non potable water testing
• Sludges
• TPH analysis (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons)
• Chemical and biochemical oxygen demand
• Ammonia
Metals analysis
• Solids analysis and many more (View test list)

Using state-of-the-art methodology and equipment, we have the capability to test for up to 22 elements with the use of certified reference standards to ensure quantification accuracy. We test for metals in drinking, surface, domestic, and industrial waste water. IPL has an ICP-OES with dual view technology to allow for effective measurement of elements at both high and low concentrations. We are able to test aqueous sample matrices quantitatively for contaminants and general scans.

TPH testing on water is carried our to ppm levels to determine the total petroleum hydrocarbons present in a sample and characterise its volatility. Research and development being an integral part of the work we carry out, TPH testing in soil, PAH in water and BTEX (water and soil) are being developed to help assess the contamination risks and provide site remediation analysis expertise.

IPL is constantly adding to the environmental testing services we provide. Check our blog to know more about our latest developments.
